3 More Florida Red Lobster Locations Are Abruptly Closing

By now, many Floridians are aware that some Red Lobster locations in the Sunshine State are closing. I’ve written about how over 15 Florida Red Lobster locations have either closed or are closing due in part to its bankruptcy filing. And now, three more Florida locations will reportedly close – in New Port Richey, Fort Walton Beach, and Pensacola.

Why Is This Happening And Where Are The Florida Stores?: Red Lobster is exercising its right to reject leases at stores that are not profitable. These stores will close and be vacated by the end of August. Three Florida stores were identified as such. They are at:

326 Miracle Strip Parkway in Fort Walton Beach

5110 N. 9th Avenue in Pensacola

8909 U.S. Highway 19, in Port Richey

The stores in question are relatively well-received.

The Fort Walter Beach Red Lobster earns 4.1 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Many noted the water view. A reviewer named Jessica wrote, in part:

“Highly recommend! Outdoor area on the water is so beautiful. Can’t beat a sunset with a great dinner…Food was fantastic (get the loaded baked potato), and so was the service (shout out to Mike)! Will absolutely be returning next time we visit.”
