Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson throws shade at Patriots regarding quarterback Mac Jones

Mac Jones’ tenure with the New England Patriots didn’t end very well.

And it resulted in him being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the offseason.

So with a new team and the ability to find his love for the game of football again, Jones has had a promising preseason. Throughout the three games, he has recorded three touchdowns along with 421 passing yards for a 72.2 completions percentage.

And following the third and final preseason game, Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson spoke about what he’s seen from the fourth year quarterback. But there was one comment that truly stood out as a possible dig at Jones’ former team.

“Mac has played extremely well in the last couple of weeks and has really bought into what we do,” Pederson said. “He’ll still revert back to his Patriots ways every now and then, and we have to remind him he’s in Jacksonville.

“But he’s done a good job managing and running the offense, getting everybody involved. He sees the field well, throws a good ball, so he’s done a good job.”
