Juvenile fighting for life after being shot multiple times in Hopewell

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — A juvenile male is fighting for his life after police say he was shot multiple times in Hopewell on Friday.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, Hopewell Telecommunications received report of a person shot in the 2600 block of Berry Street.

Officers with the Hopewell Police Department responded to the scene, where they found a juvenile male with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

No other information is available as of the time of reporting.
