WingHouse Bar + Grill, a popular Florida-based chain known for its wings and vibrant atmosphere, faced a temporary closure at its Largo location following a recent state inspection. The restaurant, located at 7369 Ulmerton Road, has been a local favorite for 30 years, serving up wings alongside burgers, wraps, and more.

Inspection Findings

On August 14, 2024, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation conducted an inspection that revealed 18 violations at the Largo location. These violations included:

  • Basic Violations: Standing water on the floor, wood buckling from excess moisture, a ceiling leak, food debris in the microwave, and use of a soiled wiping cloth.
  • Intermediate Violations: Absence of soap and paper towels at the handwashing sink.
  • High-Priority Violations: Presence of live flying insects, improper storage temperatures for raw and cooked foods, including hamburgers, shredded cheese, and chicken wings.

The severity of these issues led to the restaurant’s temporary shutdown.
