SYRACUSE 9, DURHAM 6 (BOX) A six run third carried Syracuse to a Friday win over the Durham Bulls. The pitching wasn’t particularly good, but Drew Gilbert’s second homer in three days and a big offensive day from Yolmer Sanchez made it moot. Gilbert is the bigger story, of course, as he finally seems to be getting on track after missing most of the year due to injury. He should be a big part of the 2025 Mets.
