ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCIV) – Police on the Isle of Palms plan to conduct traffic safety checkpoints Saturday to curb impaired driving. The Isle of Palms Police Department will have two safety checkpoints as part of “Saturation Saturday.” From 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., law enforcement will conduct a checkpoint on Ocean Boulevard at 14th Avenue. Then from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, police will patrol Palm Boulevard at 10th Avenue, according to a news release from the Isle of Palms Police Department.
