A wildfire, now known as the Ribbon Fire, is ablaze at the Nevada National Security Site, having spread through 9,000 acres since being reported on Thursday afternoon. According to a spokesperson from the site, as quoted by FOX5 Vegas, the fire has traversed two contaminated areas. The spokesperson assured that “the radiological exposure from the area poses no immediate threat to the public.”
