The Tampa Bay Buccaneers parted ways with Shaquil Barrett earlier this offseason, so they could use someone to step up and fill his shoes.
On a recent episode of Good Morning Football , Peter Schrager gave his annual breakout players list. At No. 4 on his list, he has young Buccaneers edge rusher YaYa Diaby, and he has a very bold prediction for him.
“Here’s my bold take – YaYa Diaby will have 15 sacks this season,” Schrager said. “One of my favorite players. Calijah Kancey, also a draft pick from last year, working the inside, Vita Vea working the inside, and of course you got YaYa… he is a breakout player.”
The Buccaneers will need someone to step up and get to the quarterback this season, and who better than Diaby, who had an incredible rookie season.

He finished his 2023 campaign with 7.5 sacks and 38 total tackles, 12 of them being for a loss. If those are the numbers that he is putting up in his rookie season, he could be primed to go nuclear in his second year with the Bucs.
