Woman sentenced for fatal shooting of woman at Detroit baby shower

A Ypsilanti woman has been sentenced to 22 to 40 years in prison for the fatal shooting of another woman during a baby shower in Detroit. Shawanda Woods, 44, shot and killed Phebian Williams on Oct. 15 after an argument escalated, according to Wayne County prosecutors. Woods pulled out a gun and shot Williams in the neck, and police found Williams, 53, dead in the kitchen of a home in the 15600 block of Edmore Drive.
