The Mobile Police Department is warning of scammers posing as federal law enforcement agents targeting not just individuals, but businesses. “Suspects are calling businesses, pretending to be agents with various law enforcement agencies, usually federal,” Blake Brown, public information officer with MPD, said in an email. “This is a common scam targeting individuals, however we have seen a recent uptick in attacks on businesses as well.”
