Clouds will gradually clear by the afternoon, leaving behind some sunshine. Very hot conditions are expected this afternoon with highs reaching the upper 80s and low 90s and dew points in the mid to upper 70s. Therefore, today’s heat indexes will likely climb into the low 100s. A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the area starting at 1 this afternoon and continuing through 8 p.m. Temperatures tonight won’t cool much, only dropping into the low 70s with a partly cloudy sky.
