Search continues for missing Myrtle Beach swimmer

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Myrtle Beach crews on Sunday morning were expected to continue searching for a swimmer who went missing overnight.

Officials in a Facebook post called it a recovery operation. Myrtle Beach Ocean Rescue and Beach Patrol crews entered the water around 12th Ave. S. at 5:20 p.m. for calls of two people in distress.

Authorities said one person was rescued. Fire, police and Coast Guard vehicles could have a presence in the area as their work continues.
