Man rescued after sailboat takes on water off Folly Beach

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- A man was rescued Sunday after his sailboat began taking on water off the coast of Folly Beach, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

A Station Charleston crew was called to assist the man after his 32-foot sailing vessel became disabled six miles off the coast.

“The man was safely transferred without medical concerns to Station Charleston,” officials wrote in an Aug. 26 post on X (formerly Twitter).
