CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – High pressure is taking hold across the Southeast leading to a prolonged stretch of hot, mainly dry weather this week. Morning clouds and fog will give way to plenty of sunshine and a low chance of rain this afternoon. Highs will top out in the low 90s inland, mid 80s at the beaches. The heat index will peak between 100-105°.
