Arkansas State Police troopers assist human trafficking victims in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with Arkansas State Police said authorities offered services to 16 adults believed to be victims of human trafficking in Little Rock.

According to ASP officials, special agents and members of the Arkansas Human Trafficking Council conducted “Operation BRIGHT” earlier this month. Officials said that another 79 local victims were identified as part of the operation.

Special agents said that services including food, lodging, on-site medical services, counseling, therapy and drug rehabilitation were offered to victims.

State troopers said that a suspected trafficker was identified as part of the operation.

ASP officials said that Operation BRIGHT was a muli-state human trafficking operation. Other state involved were New Jersey, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, New Mexico, California, Minnesota and Washington.
