The Plant Gays went from being a pandemic hobby for partners David Erbe and Aidan Robinson to being a full-blown store with a second location on the way. The Plant Gays is expected to open in late September at 220 Thurman Ave., formerly Stump, which closed in July. Founded by Erbe and Robinson in 2020, The Plant Gays started as an Instagram page where they’d post their personal plant collection as well as tips and tricks for plant owners. They started doing pop-ups in 2021 and opened their first retail location in 2022 at the East Market.
