Knife-wielding person taken into custody by Myrtle Beach police

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A knife-wielding person who drew a large police presence along 10th Ave N. in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday afternoon is in custody.

Authorities posted an update on the situation to the department’s Facebook page just before 7 p.m.

Officers were flagged down just before 2 p.m. in the area of 10th Ave N. for reports for a trespassing complaint when the armed person ran toward Warren Street as authorities approached.
