Black Rock Coffee Opening New Location in Tucson

One of the fastest-growing coffee chains in the United States continues to expand here in Tucson. While other chains went unfettered for decades around the Old Pueblo, Black Rock Coffee was one of the newest entries. A few years ago there wasn’t a single location, and yet now, the brand has announced it is opening its sixth location in the city (and 44th in the state).

The all-new Black Rock Coffee will open on August 29 at 2402 North 1st Avenue (at the Grant intersection). The shop has 2,000 square feet of space, so whether you want to grab your coffee to go or you’re looking to recharge while polishing off a bit of work, you’ll have the space to do it.

Like the other five locations around Tucson, the North 1st Avenue location will be open from 5 AM until 7 PM, seven days a week. This should give you plenty of time, whether you are an early riser in need of caffeine or you’re heading out for an evening shift and want a pick-me-up, to stop off for your favorite cup of coffee.

While Black Rock Coffee has made quick work of Arizona, opening several dozen locations, it is still a newer brand. It first opened in Portland, Oregon back in 2008. Since then, it has expanded to 143 stores (and counting). The locations are predominately located on the West Coast, with the lion’s share found in California, Oregon, and Arizona, though there are also locations in Colorado, Idaho, Texas, and Washington. The brand continues to expand outward, so additional states are likely to join in.
