Intersection closed in south Wichita after fire hydrant struck during car crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – An intersection in south Wichita is closed after a vehicle struck a fire hydrant, flooding the roadway.

It happened before 6 p.m. near the intersection of East Kinkaid Street and South Ida Street.

The Wichita Police Department tells KSN that the fire hydrant was struck during a two-vehicle crash.

Sedgwick County Dispatch confirmed that at least one occupant received minor injuries.
