EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WFXG) – A 30-year-old man from Moncks Corner is now behind bars in Edgefield County, charged in connection with the choking death of a child. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged Caleb Jochen Carter with two counts of unlawfully placing a child at risk or causing harm or willfully abandoning the child.
