International Overdose Awareness Day

This event is free and open to everyone. It runs 1-8 p.m. Aug. 31 at Citizens’ Circle in Ocala, behind City Hall at 151 SE Osceola Ave. Vendors, food trucks, information and help with overdose. ‘Cinderella’

Cornhole Under The Lights

This fundraiser will be held 6-11 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Ocala Marketplace Pavilion, Southeast Third Street between Osceola Avenue and Southeast Third Avenue, Ocala. The event, hosted by Team Cone and JMA Productions, benefits Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection, The Fostering Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. According to organizers, there will be 108 cornhole players (54 teams) competing in three tournaments: Battle of the Bars, Battle of the Agencies and Open Public Tournament. There will be food trucks, a live auction, live music and more.
