Bubbling thunderstorms across the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. Unlikely to become a bonafide tropical cyclone; however, the chance is not zero.
Model guidance suggests broad area of lower pressure may develop over next 24 hours before moving northward into southeast Texas & western Louisiana.
The bigger story is the tropical moisture that will be drawn northward with this disturbance as it lingers through the weekend — possibly into next week.
