9/11 service project planned at Warbird Park in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — There will be a volunteer project at Warbird Park in Myrtle Beach to honor national 9/11 Day of Service.

Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful said in a news release it needs people to help clean the stone planter at Warbird Park on Farrow Parkway. Volunteers will help remove weeds and plant flowers, as well as clean up liter in the area starting at 8 a.m. on Sept. 11.

Following the service project, the city of Myrtle Beach will have its annual Sept. 11 Remembrance Ceremony at 10 a.m. in the park.
