Oklahoma Community Rallies Around High School Student Who Was Told He Couldn’t Fly An American Flag On His Truck In The Parking Lot

There ain’t no love American flags flying in Oklahoma – at least at Edmond North High School. Quite the controversy has broken out in the town of Edmond, Oklahoma after one of the students there was told that he couldn’t fly Old Glory off the back of his truck. Caleb Horst, a senior at the school who was told to stop flying the flag, says that’s he’s proudly had the Stars and Stripes on his truck for a while – and is just now being told to take it down. So now parents and students are banding together to protest the decision. That has come in the form of American flag parades, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in the school’s parking lot, and even just pulling the old “strength in numbers” move on the school district as more and more students fly American flags from their vehicles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2Zuf466Fmk The “No Fly” demand has even gotten the attention of Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters.
