Ceremony in Moncks Corner To Remember Pets That ‘Crossed The Rainbow Bridge’

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – The Berkeley County Animal Center will soon host a unique ceremony that honors the memory of beloved Lowcountry pets that have “crossed over the rainbow bridge” to heaven.

The Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day Luminary Walk will take place Sept. 7 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Berkeley County Animal Center, which is at 131 Central Avenue in Moncks Corner.

Participants can purchase a $5 luminary bag at this link in honor of their fur-baby. The money raised from the event will help support the animal center.

Attendance at the upcoming event is welcomed but not required, organizers said.

According to Guinness World Records , the oldest living dog is currently 24 years old. That honor goes to a little Chihuahua named Spike in Camden, Ohio.
