Norfolk Virginia Zoo breaks ground for expansion

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two new buildings are being built as part of the Norfolk Virginia Zoo expansion project.

The project broke ground on Wednesday. One of the building will be for the animal ambassadors the visitors will be able to walk into to meet zookeepers, volunteers and the animals used in educational environments.

The second building is more technology-based with interactions and educates visitors with things like a virtual reality, and in-door and out-door classrooms.
