Unattended candle to blame for early morning fire in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – UPDATE:. The Syracuse Fire Department says an unattended candle is to blame for a fire on Lodi Street which displaced at least three people. Emergency crews say they responded to a 911 call on the 1300 block of Lodi Street just before 5:30 a.m. When crews arrived, they say they saw a pile of debris burning in front of the two-story, multi-family building. As additional crews arrived, they say they determined there was a fire also on the first floor of the building.
