Historic Lowcountry church secures funding for crucial repairs

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – One of the Lowcountry’s oldest churches is getting a much overdue repair job. Some of the needed repairs date back centuries. “It was founded in 1809 as a congregation and the building was begun in 1811 and finished in 1816,” said Peet Dickinson, the dean and rector of Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul.
