Hall EMT graduates celebrated in downtown Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County’s next generation of EMS workers graduated Wednesday from the Hall EMT Academy.

Fifteen recruits finished 10 weeks of intensive training that included everything from patient assessments and airway management, to mass casualty incidents and pharmacology.

Those who make it through the academy are guaranteed a full-time position with Hall Ambulance, where they will respond to emergency calls for medical aid.

“It honestly feels like a dream come true,” a fellow HALL Graduate, Marco Lopez, said. “It still feels like it hasn’t really hit yet. Hall truly cares about us and they want every single one of us to succeed. Our instructor also cared and made sure every single one of us succeeded.”

These graduates were part of the 47th class of the Hall EMT Academy.
