The state of Florida is paying posthumous respect to a dedicated servant of the people, Special Agent Jose Perez of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), who died in the line of duty. In a ceremony held this Thursday morning, FDLE commemorated his service with a special salute, as reported by WSVN. Perez, who at the age of 55, gave his full measure of devotion to his community after a two-week fight for his life following a tragic car accident while on the job in 2022.
