The University of Alaska Anchorage is hoping to get more potential bone marrow donors signed up to help some Alaskans in need of treatment. UAA held a registry drive, called Be the Match, along with the National Marrow Donor program. The drive helps raise awareness for blood disorders such as blood cancer and sickle cell that may be able to be treated with bone marrow transplants.
