The ribbon-cutting ceremony included giveaways, live performances and the announcement of grants from The Wawa Foundation. The event also featured a fun hoagie-building competition that benefited two local charities.

“Because we just now opened our second Wawa in Baldwin County and it was such a blasting opening the first one up and just to be able to expand Wawa and bring our culture to the area is just such a great thing and it’s excites me every day.” Wawa General Manager Gene Woerher said.

Wawa hopes to have 7-10 additional locations in Baldwin County and an additional location in Pensacola.
