New accessible playground at Creekside Park Elementary gives kids with disabilities a chance to play too

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – On Thursday, young students played on a new playground for the first time; for some, it was their first time on a playground in years. Creekside Park Elementary cut the ribbon for their newly remodeled playground Thursday evening. Earlier in the day, students of the school in Northeast Anchorage got to do a little preliminary test drive. Later, school district officials spoke a little about why accessibility matters on the playground before the ribbon was cut.
