Eli Kirk, a redshirt freshman from Central Oklahoma’s wrestling team, is set to compete in the U20 World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain, as a member of the Puerto Rico National Team. Kirk earned his place by winning a qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico. Competing in the Greco-Roman category at 60 kilograms (132.3 pounds) on Sept. 3-4, Kirk is one of 26 wrestlers from various countries. With a strong high school record, he aims to represent UCO positively while emphasizing that his performance won’t define him.
