A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for a large part of Arkansas as scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service warns that some of these storms could become strong, particularly over the northwestern half of the state, bringing the potential for large hail and strong wind gusts.

Residents across the forecast area, including counties such as Marion, Baxter, Faulkner, Pulaski, and Garland, should prepare for thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. While widespread severe weather is not anticipated, a few storms could become strong, with the primary threats being:
