City of Wichita announces closures for Labor Day

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The City of Wichita announced upcoming closures in observance of Labor Day.

Closed Saturday, Aug. 31: CityArts

Closed Sunday, Sept. 1: CityArts and Wichita Public Library locations

Closed Monday, Sept. 2: City Hall, neighborhood resource centers, Transit administrative offices, Wichita Public Library locations, Park administrative offices & Recreation centers, CityArts, Mid-American All-Indian Museum, Cowtown, Wichita Art Museum, Great Plains Nature Center, Environmental Health office, WATER Center, Brooks Landfill and the Animal Shelter

Storm Track 3 Forecast: Rain tapers off this morning, comfortable weekend

There will be no Wichita Transit or Paratransit service on Monday, Sept. 2.

Special Hours for Monday, Sept. 2:

  • O.J. Watson Park will be open 8 a.m.-6 p.m., with rides open 12 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Botanica, Wichita Public Golf Courses, Splash Pads and Ralph Wulz Riverside Tennis Center will be open during regular hours.
  • CityArts will close at 5 p.m. Sept. 3-6.
  • Rockwell, Alford and Evergreen Library locations will reopen for regular Sunday hours (1-5 p.m.) on Sept. 8.
