PORTAGE, MI – Firefighters responded to reports of a blaze at Holiday Motel on Friday, Aug. 30. Portage Fire Division officials said crews responded the fire about 5:15 p.m., but by the time fire crews arrived, the motel manager doused the blaze with a fire extinguisher. Still, reports of the fire circulated on social media, including images of smoke rising from the structure.
