1 person hospitalized after shooting on Chester Avenue: BPD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night, which left one person hospitalized.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Chester Avenue, near 2nd Street, at 9:30 p.m. Thursday night for shots fired. One male victim was discovered by officers, suffering from a single gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening.

Man arrested on suspicion of arson, fled from CHP near Kernville

The Bakersfield Police Department says it does not have a suspect description at this time, adding officers are looking for other possible victims. Bakersfield police do not have a description of the suspect.
