Woman, 43, dead after being hit by a pickup truck in southwest Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A 43-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a pickup truck overnight Saturday on the far southwest side of Columbus.

According to police, Seanna Groce was walking in the middle of Norton Road’s northbound lanes near Bolton Airport Road. At the same time, a Toyota Tundra was going north on Norton Road and hit the pedestrian on the road, per police.

Medics arrived and pronounced Groce dead at 1:04 a.m. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene as the Columbus police accident investigation unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
