PARSON APPOINTS TWO AREA RESIDENTS TO PROPANE SAFETY COMMISSION

Governor Mike Parson has appointed a pair of area residents to a state safety commission.

The governor’s office announced Friday the appointments of Cliff Callis of Sedalia and Randy Warner of Kingsville to the Missouri Propane Safety Commission. First established in 2008, the nine-member commission is responsible for developing and implementing propane safety plans and programs, and establishing, administering, and enforcing propane rules and regulations.

Callis is CEO of a marketing firm and also serves on the Sedalia Pettis County Economic Development Board and Bothwell Regional Health Center Foundation Board. Callis is a graduate of Missouri Valley College.

Warner is returning to the commission and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. He’s currently a product safety manager at a multinational propane distribution firm, and also owns a consulting firm.

Both men will serve five-year terms.
