ESPN analyst foresees incredible sophomore leap for Chet Holmgren

After missing all of what would have been his rookie season, playing in 82 games was a scoring achievement for Chet Holmgren. For many rookies who were forced to redshirt their initial season due to injury, being able to play at least 70 games the following year is considered a significant win.

Meanwhile, Holmgren was always available and was No. 2 in the Rookie of the Year voting. Nothing is if that isn’t the first and most significant sign of a successful career.

Everyone understands how paramount Chet’s 2024 season is to his development and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s ascension into championship contention. In many ways, OKC is moving step by step with its young center in terms of climbing the ranks, which is what makes watching the blue and orange so fascinating.
