Dog stolen in armed robbery in Prince George’s County, police say

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said officers are investigating an armed robbery after a dog was stolen from its owner on Saturday morning in Hyattsville.

According to PGPD, officers responded to an armed robbery in the 4800 block of Avondale Overlook Drive shortly after 7 a.m.

The victim reported to police that her small brown dog, “Yana,” was taken.

The investigation is ongoing.
