Eagle River social worker, who became wheelchair bound, inspired by Ms. Wheelchair USA pageant

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – After the crowning of Ms. Wheelchair USA in July, an Alaskan woman submitted her application for a chance to compete in 2025. Kathryn Arvidson, 46, said she finished her application for the pageant on Friday. In her home in Eagle River, Arvidson described her proposed platform, “Moving Past Surviving to Thriving,” which focuses on mental health advocacy for people with disabilities.
