PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — A 21-year-old has been arrested in connection to a 2022 shooting of a 2-year-old in Petersburg.
According to the Petersburg Bureau of Police , on Thursday, Aug. 29, Damarcus Branch, 21, was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Prince George County.
Branch was wanted in connection to a shooting of a 2-year-old that took place in the Petersburg East apartment complex in 2022, according to police.
Branch was arrested for reckless handling of a firearm, child neglect and aggravated malicious wounding. According to authorities, Branch is being held on a secure bond.
