OK Heritage Preservation Grant program now accepting applications

OKLAHOMA (KOAM) — The Oklahoma Historical Society is set to open applications for itsĀ Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant Program on Monday, September 2.

According to the Oklahoma Historical Society , the grants range from $1,000 to $25,000 to municipal, county, or tribal governments and non-profit historical organizations.

“The Oklahoma Heritage Preservation Grant Program continues to make a significant impact on our local communities,” said Nicole Harvey, director of strategic initiatives and grants administrator for the OHS. “As we enter our sixth year of funding, this program remains dedicated to empowering local and tribal governments, as well as historical organizations, to preserve and celebrate Oklahoma’s rich heritage. This initiative is crucial in ensuring that the stories and histories of our state are preserved for future generations.”

The Oklahoma Historical Society says the online application process will be open on September 2 and will close on November 1. Draft applications wishing to receive application feedback are due on October 7.
