A Bakersfield tradition continued Sunday for hunters – up early for the first day of the dove hunting season, followed by a hearty breakfast at Pyrenees Cafe. Longtime hunters know the best places to go both to find doves, and to find sustenance, camaraderie and plenty of conversation after the hunt.
