‘Tails & Ales’ event raises funds for New Mexico’s in-need pets

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe Brewing Company and Animal Humane New Mexico brought beer and puppies together for the perfect fundraising opportunity.

Kiddie pools were set up at Green Jeans on Saturday for dogs to dip their paws during this late summer heat, and humans could dip their tastebuds into a variety of cold draft beers.

For every pint sold, Santa Fe Brewing gave back $1 to Animal Humane’s mission to help Albuquerque’s at-risk pet population.

“Tails and Ales is a great way to just give some of the shelter dogs more visibility, to talk with the community about who we are, source volunteers, and just kind of show our faces and collaborate with local businesses who are doing a great in the community and supporting the shelter pets at Animal Humane,” said Brandon Carter with Animal Human New Mexico.

Animal Humane said they hold adoption events like this one on the last Saturday of every month.
