A new wave of industrial plants is coming to Louisiana. Residents say there are new concerns too.

Darrell Peters recalled how, as a boy, he would gather crawfish from the back swamps behind his neighborhood off River Road in St. Rose. But Peters said he has watched industry and pollution encroach on his small community over the past half-century, and the birds, bugs, crawfish and other creatures have seemed to go away.
