OKANOGAN-WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST – The Easy Fire is located about 17 miles west of Mazama and off of the North Cascades Hwy 20 corridor located in Washington State. It was ignited by lightning that struck the area deep within the dense forest among heavy timber in the Methow Valley. It would quickly spread over time and cause it to burn a few thousand acres.
