Tampa Mayor set to honor ’13 Ugly Men’ for 30 years of charity

Tampa (BLOOM) – Tampa Mayor Jane Castor is set to recognize the 13 Ugly Men Foundation , a group of distinguished individuals known for their extraordinary charitable efforts, with a special proclamation. The ceremony, which will take place at City Hall on September 6 at 2 p.m., celebrates the foundation’s 30-year legacy of giving back to the Tampa Bay community.

Affectionately known as the “13 Ugly Men,” this group has been a cornerstone of philanthropy in Tampa since 1994, dedicating their time, resources, and hearts to make a lasting impact. Their contributions have been wide-ranging, from organizing neighborhood cleanups and food drives to supporting local non-profit organizations. Over the past three decades, the foundation has donated nearly $3 million to various local charities, establishing itself as a true leader in the charitable sector.

The 13 Ugly Men are perhaps best known for their fundraising events, which have become iconic in the Tampa social scene. Thousands attend their well-loved themed parties, including the Halloween Party, The White Party, and The Derby Party, all of which raise significant funds for local causes.
